Presently my work is focused on the integration of painting and papermaking a single medium. I use disintegrating vintage or antique textiles and other recycled materials as part of the process to create mixed media art.
Rescuing old lace and linens is also my way of paying homage to the countless craftsmen like my mother and grandmother. Skilled artists in their own right who lovingly, most often anonymously, created needlework to pass on to future generations. It is my pleasure to link these unique mediums with the very ancient art of papermaking."
