TEAWINGS Afternoon Tea Recipe ©

1 tsp green  (no extra flavors), 1 tsp Rooibos  (also known as African Red or Red Bush tea) 1 tsp mint, 1 tsp lavender teas*

(*Can substitute loose teas with / 1 tea bag ech)

Place all in 2-cup teapot; pour in boiling water; steep 2-4 minutes; strain; cream sweeten to taste...

People always ask where the name “Tea & Wings” comes from…

I say the words are a gift and a reminder from God... As long as I can remember I have always started my mornings with a cup of hot tea. It is my time of day. When I meditate, pray, and center myself, or, talk to Mom when I am home in Indy. Anyway ...one day before my feet hit the floor, I was somewhere between awake and dreams and the words simply floated into my ears...

Since tea is a long standing tradition, a part of my heartbeat even, and  wings reminds me of one of a favorite Bible passages about restoration and courage found in Isaiah 40:26-31...   "[You] shall mount up with wings like eagles…" As soon as I heard Tea & Wings, I knew those words were tailor made just for me.

A visit to Tea & Wings Studio (TEAWINGS for short) is a great opportunity to see my work, experience how paper is made, and perhaps share a cup of my personal blend for the perfect cup of tea. Visits may be scheduled by appointment only, year round as time permits, afternoon or early evening  -- so we have an excuse for tea! Thanks for visiting www.teaandwings.com.
